what. LoL is totally free to play. you can pay real money for CP if you want to buy runes/champions/bundles, and that's it.

they will always keep the f2p model, not like it worths any money or something.

Basically the free is an extended trial. you obviously dont get the good stuff as it becomes a game where you have to watch others use the better "champions"/professions and totally face roll all the freebie leechers. And the champions change once a week/month so its rapidly changing for those who play on the free side of it. If you pay for it your getting the full extent of the game though.

after every match, you get some XP and IP based on the outcome of the match. with IP, you can get runes and champions too, but skins.

you can play it for free easily, there are 450IP chamions that can "faceroll" expensive champions if they are well-played.

of course if you can't wait for all the shiny things you can buy a champion bundle or the digital collectors edition.

Yes, you can play a gw 3 day trial and start on a brand new account. Or you can fork up $20 (yes LoL is $20 for collectors) and get the ZOMGPROPACK. To me its worth it. Its not like its online fee.

I still don't get it what's that trial you are talking about. The game is TOTALLY FREE WITHOUT ANY FEES, and you can get the top-gear champions by simply playing the game.

You get skins, more XP/IP per game and unlock champions faster, when matchmaking doesn't screw up you aren't under any disadvantage. The only thing paying players have and free players don't are skins.

You get 20 permanent champions. +$10 "riot points" credit when buying the $20 collectors box. Its worth it trust me. Its really really hard to play competitively on this higher levels when you have the random assortment of champions to choose from. The point is to learn how to play and have a semi-balanced team. Of course you can play random way all the time but your not gonna level as fast and arent gonna enjoy losing 75% of games.

Dunno about you but I could win any games with a Sivir any time, and with an Annie too, which is only 1350 IP. 6350IP champions are being nerfed to death *cough* twitch *cough*, and the only reason they are making 3500/6300 champions is to milk the ones who are lazy/impatient, like you.

Well, I'm 6-8 champions short of having them all, but I don't plan on buying certain champs like twitch, anivia and blitz. Have 2 full runebooks. I keep buying the new champs simply from the IP I get from my daily play. There are plenty top people who never payed a dime and they are not gimped at all.

The novelty of being without additional things will wear off. I figure its better to invest in the prosperity of a game then to let it get like gw, 3years they made no money from continual players thats why updates were weak and the game died due to lack of innovation. Please keep this thread on topic as it is just a way to encourage people to try new things. Something gwguru has never really been familiar with.
add me on LoL

Well you guys and girls can add me on your friend's list if you want (Summoner Name = Icy Mage). I feel that with nearing 1000 games under my belt I can answer a few questions you might have :P
